Bowling and Whidbey Island

We met Debbie, Carl and Terry at 9AM for bowling! It was Kit's first time bowling. She loved it.

Kit made a strike and several spares. She scored 100 on her 3rd game.

We were hoping to have ice cream at Kapaws but they were closed for the season.

Grandma took us to a nice cafe where we enjoyed sandwiches and Penn Cove mussles.

It was a clear, cool, day with lovely views.

Kit loved riding on the ferry. She didn't want to get off.

Nice light house.

We went to Debbie's to enjoy chili, football and play Monopoly.

Leavenworth

We drove up into the mountains seeking snow for Kit to see. We found trees coated with snow.

We decided to continue on to Leavenworth for lunch and to play in the snow.

We found parking downtown and walked to a nice German restaurant for lunch.

Kit pretended she was in Europe.

Kit was ready to play in the snow.

We enjoyed sledding down a hill together.

Christmas

Kit was excited to find her stocking all filled with toys.

She sat on the floor and unwrapped each package inside her stocking. She found Play-doh, Hello Kitty crayons, cards for playing Go Fish, and other fun things.

Kit enjoyed being with Great Grandma.

The kids had fun together.

Kit and Pop had fun together too.

Christmas eve

Aunt Debbie came over for Christmas eve.
Kit has claimed Matt as HER Matt.
Mom and Debbie made a delicious Christmas dinner. Kit loved the ham.
Kit received this wonderful Piglet from Aunt Debbie and Uncle Carl.

She hung her stocking before going to bed.

Baking & Debbie's Anniversary

Kit and Terry had fun decorating their gingerbread house together.
It looks delicious!

Then they baked cookies with Grandma.

Aunt Debbie brought this lovely hat.

We enjoyed having dinner with Carl and Debbie to celebrate their 3rd anniversary. Tuk loved the mussles at Anthony's.

Visiting Grandma!

Visiting grandma for the holidays. Kit has been very excited about the trip.
Pop reading a giant book to Kit.

Kit was thrilled to be able to help decorate the Christmas tree.

Kit loves her Aunt Debbie.

Terry

Making a chain to go around the Christmas tree with Amanda.

Matt

Playing with Matt

Romeo.

Book

Kit received a wonderful book from her Great Aunt Denise. We read the book twice and again the next morning.

Kit relates to the girl who travels to Africa to visit her family. Kit cries when it is time for the girl to return home.

First Haircut

Kit has visited Michelle many times yet today was the first time she had a haircut.

She was very calm and patient while her hair was being cut.

Her hair has become very long.

She got lots of attention. Tuk uses a hair iron so Kit was very proud that she was using one too.

Kit was thrilled and looks forward to her next haircut.

Kit was pretending to cook dinner for us last night.

Meal time isn't ideal for nice portraits.

I played with the camera's shutter speed, aperture and ISO settings.

A high ISO lets you use a smaller aperatue to bring out more detail and depth of field.

Kit is very creative and silly.

We laughed a lot.

The situation can change very quickly if she doesn't get her way.

"But I want to damage the window curtain."

A bit of calm distraction and all is forgotten.

Happy again.

New Camera Flash

As an early Xmas gift for the family, we got a new flash so we can take nice photos.

Kit helped me set it up by playing with her hair.

Where did she go?
