Solvang

On the drive back home we stopped in Solvang for a late lunch.

Dream made a list of the cuisines she's eaten here:

American
Japanese
Chinese
Korean
Thai
Vietnamese
Mexican
German
Danish
French
Italian
Indian

Tim and Nao

On the way to visit Tim and Nao we drove through Hollywood. We could see them getting ready for tomorrow's Oscar night.

We met Tim and Nao in Thai Town (near Hollywood) for lunch. We visited several restaurants and shops as we ate our way through the town.

Kit had a blast with Tim. They played music and silly games together.

Seaworld and Mariachi

Tuk was excited to go to Seaworld. I do not recall ever going there yet I probably did long ago. Tuk went with her friends many years ago when she first came to the USA working for Seagate.

The shows were all very enjoyable. Problem is they are all scheduled back to back and located rather far apart. With few duplicate showtimes we basically had no time for exhibits as we ran from show to show.

Afterwards we had a nice Mexican meal at Casa Guadalajara in Old Town.

Kit loved the mariachi band.

Safari Park

We had not decided what to do this day so we settled on trying out the wild animal park. The redesigned layout made it very confusing to get around due to the lack of good signage. The tram ride is shorter yet the walking tour is nicer (longer). We did not stay very long yet it was nice for Kit to see the animals in a more natural setting than the zoo.

We had a nice Italian dinner at Mona Lisa located in downtown San Diego's Little Italy.

Hollywood

Went into Hollywood to get a Thai passport for Kit.

Kit took these photos.

Disneyland

We spent 3 days at Disneyland. Kit thought it was the most amazing place. She asked why we don't live inside Disneyland. If they ever sell condos there I'm sure we would rush to buy one.

Kit was super sweet. Wearing her 1st visit badge, honorary Toontown citizenship and Tinkerbell pins.

First day we started at 8 A.M. and finished at Midnight. Fortunately, Tuk and Kit returned to the hotel mid day for a nap. We ate at the wild and crazy Joe's Crab Shack.

There is a theory that when you give, give, give to a child he or she will then start to give back once he or she has received enough. Let the child win at a boardgame over and over and eventually the child will want you to win so you can feel the enjoyment as well. Let them ride all of their rides and eventually they'll want you to ride something you enjoy too. It seems to work well with Kit.

Kit and I spent a day together riding little kid rides and visiting with princesses and fairies. That evening Kit suggested I find Tuk and Dream so I could enjoy some of the big rides. I assured her I enjoyed going on rides with her.

Dream and I did enjoy several wild rides. Then Tuk and Dream went off to California Adventure to ride the even wilder rides together.

After riding the Indiana Jones ride Dream said, "That ride was so bumpy. It's my favorite!" We also rode Space Mountain and the Matterhorn ride.

Kit rode It's a Small World 8 times! Also Dumbo, Rockets, Jungle cruise, River boat around the island, playing on the island, Toads Wild Ride, Peter Pan and others.

First it was Hello Kitty. Then Cars. Now it is all about Tinkerbell.

Tinkerbell and Vidia.
