Aquarium Again

I fell way behind on the blog. Two weeks ago I noticed these creature tracks in the house.
We went to the aquarium again. The otters are Kit's favorite.
There is a baby otter named Kit yet she is off exhibit until she improves her basic otter skills.

Kit, the otter, eating ice.

Shark!

I like the sardines.

Enjoying the very nice day.

There is this neat little area to stand in while a "wave" crashes on top.

Kit spent a lot of time touching the starfish and other animals.

Play area is quite nice.

Such a lovely day in Monterey.

Heading home.

Stopped at Phil's Fish Market in Moss Landing to get a bucket of their delicious cioppino.

Kit also tried a Castroville artichoke. Yum!

Fishing

This was Kit's first time fishing. We went to Will's Pond, which we call Kit's Pond.

She scoped out the pond.

We got our gear set up.

She had to learn how to work the rod and reel. Cast it out.

Wait a while.

Reel it back in.

And catch a fish!!!

We had a nice picnic right by the water.

Daddy does not mind being a chair.

But she had her own chair too.

She loved it.

Camping

We went camping this weekend...

Grandma & Pop

Mom and Pop visited in their RV on their way down to Paso Robles. Kit was very excited to see them.

She explained the menu...

Waited for their order...

And jotted it down.

Grandma helped crack the eggs.

Kit played with Romeo

and Tootsie.

Here she is being a little mommy. She turned her packpack into a baby carrier.

Daddy-Daughter Day

Tuk was not feeling well so I took Kit to school and pick her up on Tuesday. We ate lunch at Costco. She needs a passport photo for a Thai visa to stay over 30 days.

Afterwards we went to Staples to get some suppliers for her. She got a box of golf pencils and a bunch of restaurant-style order receipts. Now she can take orders and present the bill when playing restaurant or store. Perhaps someday she will even issue fines / tickets!

Kit does not like loud noises. Often the mixer or vacuum will send Kit running to another part of the house. These ear protectors are great!

Kit also found her pink Peltor kids ear protectors (designed for taking kids hunting) well suited for dinner time to tune out her parents, doh!
