More Curious George

We went back to see Curious George yesterday. Tuk joined us this time.

We started with lunch. Kit ordered pepperoni pizza. She is such a kid!

Again, we were the first in line when George arrived. Kit gave him a big high-five.

Here we are with George. Normally we go during membership hour on Sunday. On Saturday, the place is packed. A mob of kids quickly joined us once they noticed George.

Posing with little George.

Here she is in George's lobby, opening the elevator for the firemen.

Operating some machinery to lift blocks. It is hard work.

She liked moving the animals to the different pens. Chickens, rabbits and pigs each get their own spot.

Kit made us a pizza. It was much better than the pizza we had for lunch.

Tuk and Kit enjoying dinner together.

Bouncing with Megan, Oreos & Pigtails

Kit and Megan went bouncing together last week.

There were castles and other things to bounce on.

Kit liked to bounce then fall backwards.

Megan, Megan's cousin Ryanne, and Kit.

Kit dressed me up in pigtails so we could all have pigtails.

Kit's first Oreo cookie. She opened it at ate the frosting. She gave the chocolate cookie to me to eat..

Swimming

Kit gets ready to go into the pool at David, Maew and Meow's house.
She loves to swim with her mom.
But today she was attached to P'Meow.
Meow took her around the pool. They practiced kicking.

The two had a lot of fun together.

Aunt Maew suggested they pick teams.

"Join my team," she said.

Meow said, "No, join my team."
Kit joined David's team and splashed them both!

Nice day in the pool

Curious George

Kit loves Curious George. She spotted and recognized him over a block away while strapped in her car seat. I am amazed she can see so well from back there. Oh, she became very excited to be visiting George!

We went straight to his exhibit.

After the initial excitement she became very comfortable. She calls him "Monkey George" and "George the monkey."

She talked a lot about visiting George's house. George lives in an apartment in NYC. Here we are in the lobby.

We played at the store for a long time. She sold me lots of fruit.

Kit was the first in line to see George. She gave him a big high-five then a hug.

She would come back to me with a huge smile then wait her turn again.

We said goodbye to George and drove to the market and pizza shop for lunch.

We then played in the water zone.

Kit waited very patiently for her turn with the measuring cup. Once she had it she was delighted and protected it carefully.

Earlier, a boy tried to take something from Kit. She blocked him with her shoulder then moved the item to her other hand and held it away from him. I was impressed then realized she plays with Sophia and Bryan. This kid had no chance.

We were first in line, again, for the next time George arrived. Kit gave him more hugs, hand shakes and high fives.

There were not many kids this time so she had a lot of 1:1 time with George.

Kit even danced with George!

Normally we do not buy things when we go out yet the store had this great Curious George kaleidoscope, made of metal.

Sweetheart & Snowboarding

Kit likes to say funny things:
"Daddy, come here sweetheart!"
"Daddy, I want to snowboard."

Kit loves to snowboard. That is, play Wii Ski & Snowboard.

Kit made her own snowboard and controllers so she can play any time.

Princess Kit

Kit likes to go around saying, "Today is your lucky day. Forsooth, I am a princess!"

Then she uses her royal butterfly wings to flutter around the room.

She was inspired by this video of Natalie Portman and Elmo on Sesame Street.

Plants, Spelling and Singing

Kit's first batch of cucumbers is ready for harvesting. She has lots of them. They are delicious.

Kit likes to spell her name.

Letter order, direction and orientation are guidelines.

I love to listen to Kit singing a song. Her voice is so sweet. She often omits or changes the words, as in this song:

The Itsy Bitsy Spider

"The itsy bitsy spider went up spider spout.
Down came rain, and washed spider out.
Up came sun, and dried up the rain.
Itsy bitsy spider went up spider again."

Thai Temple

Kit likes going to the Thai temple. She looks forward to the traditions, people and foods.

Kit does a very nice wai.

Outside we get ready to make an offering to the monks.

Kit waits patiently.

She gets ready.

An orange for the head monk.

After each offering she gives a wai.

There are several nen, junior or student monks, during the summer season.

She gives each nen a nice wai too.

Kit watches as they continue down the line.
