Sushi in Shin-Yokohama

Tonight I went to my favorite sushi restaurant, Sushi-no-taikan, and ordered the full dinner course. I like their ceramic dishes too.

Before I even placed my order two appetizers arrived, including some kind of sea snail...
and this delicately delicious squid row.

First course was sashimi

Then a couple things from the kitchen: a mild mushroom custard and a seasonal river fish with pasty row.

The fish seemed bland at first but with the red miso sauce it became very good.

Final course was nigiri sushi. I usually request no uni but this time I left it up to chance. So, I finally tried uni and it isn't bad.

Green tea arrives at the end letting you know dinner is over.

Two items were not photographed: a seaweed appetizer and a broth with clams. The sushi chef is very friendly and chuckled a bit as I stopped to admire each dish and take a photo.
