Flights to India were fine. Lufthansa's Airbus 380-800 is massive (can carry 518 passengers) yet they did a great job in constructing compartments that felt very comfortable. Required a lot of runway to take off yet flew beautifully in the sky. Landing was a touch rough as it must be extremely difficult to bring that massive bird back to the ground.
The two things I tried to not think about were the massive size of the plane and arriving in Mumbai on the anniversary of the July 26 flood that shut down the entire city in 2005. There wasn't another suitable flight so nothing I could do about that but I did bring excellent rain gear.
Flight from Frankfurt to Mumbai was delayed so I did not get to the hotel until 3:00 AM. Took a nap, had my first real Indian food (idli with samdar soup) then was ready for my driver when he arrived at 9:00 AM.
Took 45 minutes to escape central Mumbai, another 45 minutes to escape greater Mumbai followed by a 2 hour scenic highway into the mountains on the way to Pune.
Company office is in a nice IT technology park. The entire town burst into the country's IT center quickly outgrowing the small central roads, yet there are international restaurants and shops everywhere yet so far I have only been to the office and hotel. Looking forward to the weekend!
