Little Big Kid

Kit no longer uses her high chair.

Today the play group made cookies.

Kylie and Diane joined us for dinner tonight. Kit and Diane had a good time playing and eating together.

Goodbye Curious George

On Sunday we went to the Children's Discovery Museum to say goodbye to Curious George. He is returning to NYC.

Q: What is George is sitting on?

A: Did you say building? Incorrect.
Kit told me and she is correct: A book. George is sitting on a book on top of the building.
She hoisted a huge bubble sheet.

She did some scientific experiments.

And sat in a Wells, Fargo & Company stagecoach.

Then she sat down with George.

She gave him a goodbye kiss.

And stood with Hundley, the lobby dog.

And she dressed up like a doorman. (She would not put on the coat)

Then she had to say goodbye to George. He is returning to NYC where he lives. After several high-fives and some chatting it was time to leave. See you again someday George. Kit loves you!

We had some lovely roses this summer.

Lunch

Today Kit joined me for lunch at Andy's BBQ with Ken and Brian. She wore her Japanese outfit today.

In the evening we played Japanese baseball.

Japanese baseball is playing baseball in a yukata / kimono.

Yukari & Cookies

Auntie Yukari visited today. They had lots of fun playing together.

We made gingerbread cookies. Last night we prepared the dough then today we baked them. Kit likes the taste of molassas.

Kit missed her friends. Today they got back together at the park.

Curious George

Kit likes the light and sound from this carousel but it is always challenging to get a nice photo. This one isn't bad.

She loves visiting the lobby of George's apartment building.

She gave George hugs and kisses.

We wanted to see George at least once more before he returns to NYC. Perhaps we'll see him a final time next weekend.

This evening we went to watch fireworks. They were Kit's first fireworks. She thought they were lovely yet loud.

Movie night

First we enjoyed some chocolate pudding, yum.

Then we had our first movie night last night. We camped downstairs to watch Curious George, Green Eggs and Ham and Cave of the Yellow Dog.

I also gave Kit the bean bag I made. She likes it! It is the perfect spot for reading books together.

They're back!

Picked up Tuk and Kit yesterday. Kit's flowers are a cute smaller version.

Kit is the perfect travel partner. We went to Chef Chu's for lunch but she was more delighted to have Cheerios again.

Kit was pleased to re-discover all of her toys. First she checked on Emily. Then she wanted to play with her train set.

She asked me to read several books to her. She spoke mainly in Thai to me. Several of her English words now have a Thai accent. It is very cute yet will not last long.
